Professional Background, Experience and Strengths Master’s degree in Environmental and Public Health from Bayero University Kano and a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Gombe State University, with over 10 years of experience in research, data collection, and field supervision across public health, development, and market research projects. I have worked with reputable organizations such as Society for Family Health, International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, Search for Common Ground, Sydani Group, and Crown Agents, where I supported the implementation of large-scale household surveys, health facility assessments, immunization studies, and community-based qualitative research. In addition to public health research, I have gained market research experience, particularly through the Food Price Crowdsourcing Project with International Institute of Tropical Agriculture, where I collected and monitored market price data from local markets to support food systems analysis and policy decision-making. This role involved engaging with traders, gathering real-time market data, verifying price trends, and contributing to datasets used for economic and agricultural insights. My responsibilities across projects include supervision,conducting Key Informant Interviews (KIIs) and Focus Group Discussions (FGDs), managing digital data collection using ODK tools, and ensuring high standards of data quality through cleaning and verification processes.
