About
I am a Special Education lecturer, an experienced classroom teacher, and educational administrator with over twenty years of professional experience in teaching and supporting learners with special educational needs. Throughout my career, I have been deeply committed to promoting inclusive education and improving learning opportunities for students with disabilities, particularly those with hearing impairment. My extensive experience in the classroom has enabled me to understand the diverse academic, social, and emotional needs of learners and to apply effective instructional strategies that support their overall development. I have developed strong skills in curriculum adaptation, classroom management, and the implementation of individualized instructional approaches that accommodate different learning abilities. I have also been actively involved in mentoring students and supporting teachers in adopting inclusive teaching practices. My role as an educational administrator has further strengthened my leadership and organizational abilities, allowing me to contribute to school management, policy implementation, and the coordination of programs aimed at improving the quality of special education services. My key strengths include expertise in special education pedagogy, behavior management strategies, and the design of intervention programs that address both academic and emotional challenges faced by students with disabilities. I am particularly interested in applying evidence-based practices to enhance students’ learning outcomes and well-being. Currently, I am pursuing a PhD in Special Education, where my research focuses on behavioral interventions for students with hearing impairment. Specifically, the effectiveness of the token economy technique on mood disorders among students with hearing impairment in Katsina State.
