About

I have developed a solid research background through hands-on field data collection, analysis, and community-based evidence generation across protection and education programmes. I served as a Data Collector for the study titled “Effectiveness of Community Feedback Mechanism in Addressing Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Female Genital Mutilation (FGM) in Crisis-Affected Populations in Nigeria” under the United Nations Population Fund. Using mixed-method research in BAY states, I conducted mapping, interviews, and a seven-day survey with KoboCollect, ensuring the collection of accurate and ethically sound data in sensitive contexts. I worked as an Enumerator under UNICEF, where I identified and mapped areas with out-of-school children aged 3–17 using KoboCollect. Through household surveys and community engagement, I contributed to the development of a comprehensive education database and supported interventions that improved school attendance. During the same period, I also served as a Media Consumption Analyst for UNICEF’s stay-at-home children programming, where I collected and analyzed radio and television viewership data to inform targeted content and improve engagement. Currently, as an Education Facilitator with UNICEF, I generate field-based evidence that supports data-driven improvements in learning delivery. My strengths include strong qualitative and quantitative data collection skills, proficiency in KoboCollect, ethical handling of sensitive topics, and effective community engagement. My research focus centers on education in emergencies, child protection, community feedback mechanisms, and evidence-driven programme improvement.
