About

I am a geographer and academic researcher with a strong commitment to advancing knowledge in physical geography and environmental studies. My work focuses on understanding landforms, environmental processes, and the complex interactions between human activities and natural landscapes, particularly within tropical environments. My primary area of specialisation is geomorphology, with particular interest in landform development, landscape evolution, and the spatial organisation of geomorphic features. I also engage with broader themes in environmental geography, including land use change, resource use, and the ecological implications of agricultural systems in tropical regions. My research integrates field-based geomorphological investigation with spatial analysis and environmental assessment to better understand landscape dynamics. I have been involved in studies examining the environmental characteristics of tropical landscapes, including work related to carbon stocks, land cover change, and the role of plantation agriculture in shaping ecological systems. Alongside research, I have extensive experience in teaching and academic support in geography and environmental studies. I am particularly interested in contributing to scholarship that improves understanding of tropical landscapes and supports sustainable environmental management. My broader research interests include geomorphology, agro-environmental systems, tropical landscape processes, and human–environment interactions. Through my academic work, I aim to contribute to both theoretical and applied discussions on environmental change, landscape sustainability, and the management of natural resources in developing regions.
