I'm a public health professional and health systems researcher who thrives at the intersection of clinical practice and data. My foundation is a Master in Public Health, which gave me the framework to understand population health, paired with a Professional Diploma in Data Analysis that lets me dig deep into the numbers behind the outcomes. My perspective, however, was truly shaped on the ground. Working at Gumel General Hospital—particularly on HIV programs—taught me what public health looks like from the inside. I saw how systems either support or fail patients, and that experience drives my research focus today. That clinical insight was later complemented by my time at the National Bureau of Statistics, where I learned to handle large-scale datasets and see the bigger picture of how health trends unfold across populations. My thesis on immunization uptake is where all these pieces came together: it combined rigorous academic methodology with a real-world question about why people do or don't get vaccinated. I'm drawn to research that doesn't just sit on a shelf but actually informs how healthcare is delivered. Right now, I'm looking to connect with organizations that need someone who can navigate both the clinic and the spreadsheet—whether as a Research Specialist designing studies or a Data Coordinator making sense of complex information.
