From creating your account to receiving your first research proposal, here is exactly how it works.

You have a research need. Maybe you know exactly what you want. Maybe you know what question you are trying to answer but you are not sure yet what type of researcher can best help you get there.
Either way, ProjectBist is built to get you from that starting point to a qualified researcher as quickly as possible, without the guesswork of cold emailing, LinkedIn searching, or relying on someone else's referral.
Here is what the process actually looks like.

Go to projectbist.com and click I'm a Client. Fill in your name, organization, and contact details, then verify your email. The account is free to create. You can browse the researcher database immediately without having to post a job first.
Before posting anything, it is worth spending a few minutes on projectbist.com/database. This is the public directory of verified researchers, consultants, and research firms on the platform. Use the filters to narrow by location, industry, or research category. Click on profiles that look relevant to read more about their experience, methodology specializations, and client ratings.
If you already know a specific type of researcher you need, you can search by keyword: try 'household survey Nigeria' or 'UX research consumer goods' and see what surfaces. This gives you a sense of the talent available before you commit to writing a job post.
When you are ready to receive proposals, go to your client dashboard and click Post a Job.
Once posted, your job becomes visible to eligible researchers on the platform. Applications typically begin arriving within minutes for active listings.
Each application comes with the researcher's profile snapshot: their profile quality score and tier, a summary of their experience, and their client rating average. You can click through to their full profile to read their bio, see their methodology specializations, and review any credentials they have uploaded.
Shortlist the applicants whose profiles most closely match your project's requirements. You do not need to review every application before reaching out. If you see three or four profiles that look strong, begin conversations with those.
Use ProjectBist's built-in messaging to reach out to shortlisted applicants. Introduce the project briefly and invite them to ask questions or propose their approach. This first exchange tells you a great deal: how quickly they respond, whether their questions reflect an understanding of your research question, and how clearly they can communicate their methodology.
From here, you can share a full brief, discuss scope and timeline in detail, and agree on terms before any formal engagement begins.
Once the project is delivered, leave a rating for the researcher through the platform. This takes two minutes and it matters: your feedback contributes to the researcher's track record and helps other clients make better decisions when reviewing the same researcher's profile in future.
That is the full cycle, from signing up to completed project. The platform is designed to move through these steps quickly, so you spend your time on research decisions rather than logistics.
